Hero bets $1.50, 1 fold

Total pot: $1.87 | Rake: $0.09

BTN is 16 / 14 / 5.4% 3bet, post flop AF = 1.4 (36%), cbets flop 100% and turn 0% (?!) over 112 hands so I guess stats haven't converged yet.

I have a feeling I am horribly butchering these hands and in general I suck ass while playing OOP.

I like raising flop here since I can do this with a FD and turn raise looks much stronger. I would love him to get married to AQ, KK or AA so I can stack him in peace :D

1. How do I play this? Turn sizing is too big, I can get stacks in with smaller but I am an idiot.

It's a position raise though against a limper, so his range is going to be wider than normal. You're better off leading small to half potish on this kind of flop and hoping he takes control and raises, or you can just bet/bet/bet.

Focus on range, because is this was say an MP player raising, then you'd have more merit in CR the flop because his range is going to be stronger, and either he's going to have a hand here he'll go with, or he won't. But against a button position raise, you should be playing this hand different and more in line with your opponents range.

I don't recommend leading small in the hope of getting raised OP, I tried it yesterday at 16nl vs a reg and it backfired badly.

I would rather take control instead of hoping a (likely) weak player at one of these stakes decides to raise and get aggro.

So donk betting all 3 streets looks to be best.

Yes, I said either bet small or bet/bet/bet... meaning normal bet sizes. These two lines are better than CRing. But saying you did something once and it didn't work, so don't do it. :) Betting half pot or slightly under in the right spots and against the correct opponents does work.

If I am reasonably certain he cbets close to 100%, isn't it viable to chkcall and then donk turn instead?

Check/call , bet/bet is fine too. I missed the stat you had on him at 100%. In this pot when you get ISO raised he's going to bet a high %. Sometimes bet/bet/bet gets called lighter because people expect you to be sometimes bluffing the turn and/or river.

Thing is, call and donk turn is a bit unnatural and confusing so it can cause him to spaz out if I am lucky. I know I am always puzzled by this line by an unknown.

I do it a ton. I love it, because it's much easier to balance than a check/raise (since a c/r is kind of polarized to the nuts and draws/air usually) and in a 4-card board there are far more scary textures I can rep for a bluff than in a 3-card one. Plus it's as you said a weird line and people have no clue what I'm doing, which will hopefully induce a mistake from some villains.

Yeah, check/call and lead is printing money against so many opponents. I wrote about ways to fully use this line probably 6 or more years ago, and so many people talked about how it was found gold. Not sure why more people don't employ it. I talk a bit about stop and go in Polished Poker too.

why check rasing, there nothing to worry about here, it a check call all the to river and then u can check raise u must give him the opportunity to bluff if he is missing.

u made your hand so why not check call all the way and hope he catches some kind of hand so u can get paid when u check raise him on the river.

Always raise with this preflop. As played your line looks good.
