$5 NL HE Full Ring: Played right??

Here is a hand between TRM-SHRiMP(Philthy on CC) and I. I first put him on like AK then as the hand played out thought maybe 10 10 or that he flopped a set. Did either of us play it bad? And what would you do with his river bet?

Personally I would have re-raised from the BB with 99 to at least let you see where you stand. If UTG+1 folds and EP Raiser flat calls it's usually AK AQ. You gave him control of the hand by checking to him on the turn though. No VPIP/PFR/AgF info available to us.

Probably would have reraised you if a set was flopped due to semi-wet straight draw. Especially on the turn where a flush draw is possible.

Preflop, I can see him re-raising me with AK, possibly AQ, and mid-high pairs. With his call preflop, he may have a small pair, possibly suited connectors, and possibly a suited ace or 10J-KJ type hands.

The donk bet threw me off a bit as it was pretty small, but I took two ways. He may have over cards or a small pair like 55 and wants to see where he is in the hand, if he is raised he might be done with the hand. He might have an over pair or possibly a set and is trying to induce a re-raise with the small bet. I figured that if I raised, I'd either be looking at another raise back and would be forced to fold. Or he might just call and lead out on the turn, still putting me a tricky spot unless I hit something. I decided the safest approach was just to call his flop bet and see what he did on the turn. If agus had called, I would've folded on the flop.

On the turn after checks, I could either check behind and play it safe or I could take the lead. I decided to do the latter and make a little over half pot bet on a fairly week turn. I figured the bet sized was big enough to get him to fold if he had nothing, might probably be around the range he would bet to get value for a better hand (overpair/set), and was small enough for me to fold if I faced a reraise.
