Eh, I wouldn't say you're way ahead, but feel free to argue. A hand like KK's or QQ's would better suit a situation for wa/wb on this board.

I'm fine with both checking behind to induce a bet/getting to showdown cheap, or repping the Ax and taking it down uncontested on the flop. Depends what type of villian I have.

You *could* classify this as a WA/WB spot, but against some stationy opponents I will bet this board. Also, you're not WA like you would be with KK, since lots of hands with have 2 over cards to your hand, and thus they have 6 outs.

When I'm betting this flop, its absolutely not to "rep an ace". Its to get calls from lower pairs, and protect my hand from over cards.

So like Likminutz said, this is one of those "in between" hands. Its where the "it depends" comes in when you're playing poker. If your opponent is more likely to bluff, then check this back and call a bet. If he's more likely to be a station, go for a street of value.

Also, don't include the results of the hand. Even when they're in white I looked at them.

BA/WB and I generally just bet out in these spots. Most of his range has us beat (Ax) or has enough outs that we're usually better betting and getting some value from smaller pairs or getting him to fold his equity with hands like KQ/KJ/etc.

Hands you are way ahead of:

22, 33, 44, 66, 77, 88, any two unders - if he's a tight player probably only 9T/89/78

Hands you are way behind:

Any 5, any A, KK, QQ, JJ, TT

Hands which fit in neither:

Any two overs - eg any two broadway

Second sentence of Likminutz's post sums it up perfectly for me, although with a hand as fragile as 99 I like betting on flop as a value-bet bluff :)
