$5 NL HE Full Ring: Monster draw hitting a straight vs possible better straight

No stats on villain, sorry.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.05(BB) Replayer
SB ($16.97)
BB ($5.17)
UTG ($1.58)
UTG+1 ($5.09)
UTG+2 ($5.91)
Hero ($4.05)
CO ($8.40)
BTN ($6.50)

Dealt to Hero 8 9

fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.05, CO calls $0.05, BTN calls $0.05, fold, BB checks

FLOP ($0.22) J 2 T

BB checks, Hero bets $0.15, CO raises to $0.30, BTN folds, BB folds, Hero calls $0.15

TURN ($0.82) J 2 T Q

Hero bets $0.40, CO calls $0.40

RIVER ($1.62) J 2 T Q A

Hero checks, CO bets $1.62, Hero ?

I have lost a lot of money in those spots, The thing is that I never know if I'm still ahead or if I should fold.

Villain looks like he's on a hand since he raises me on the flop but on the turn, Is he just hanging on with a pair of ten or jacks like many players are doing at these stakes or is he calling the bet on the turn, hoping to hit his straight or flush on river, even without the odds ?

TIA,

ARU

1. please play with a 100bb stack
2. open limping sucks

If you raise preflop you can bet the flop bigger and be all-in or at least pot committed by the turn so there is no issue. Without reads I am 50/50 on shoving and calling. I would really want to see his cards though so I probably just call and curse myself if I thought I could have won more money.

I was at 100bb, this mean that I should always rebuy for 100bb as soon as i lose something like 20bb ?

You don't have too, but usually it is recommended that you always top off. I use auto reload. It doesn't make sense to play with less a 100bb stack unless you have too.

Preflop: fold/raise. I'm guessing the button and CO are rather loose so I'd fold.

Flop: 3bet

Turn: Pot bet

River: Bet/fold (its 5NL so I think most guys here couldn't fold two pair) although I don't have much of a read due to the way this has been played.
I suspect KJ is what villain had.
