Flop: Jh 9h 4c ($1.67, 2 players - Hero: $4.30, UTG: $15.77)
Hero checks, UTG checks

Turn: 9d ($1.67, 2 players - Hero: $4.30, UTG: $15.77)

River: 9s ($3.59, 2 players - Hero: $3.34, UTG: $14.81)

Small sample, but i'd seen villain bluff on the river with a missed draw in the past. Good spot to hero call, given there are draws that missed?

I dont like the check on the flop,i will made a cbet on the flop and a another bet on the turn ,if she called i would check/fold the river. In this situation i fold the river,no hero call ,can have something like 55+

May i ask why you'd choose a double barrel line here? i mean most hands that call flop are probably calling turn, esp given he's a total whale. and the check/fold on the river would mean that villain would need to be bluffing less than 25% of the time (he bet less than half pot) but is it reasonable to expect this given that he could be betting a busted flush draw/openender/gutshot etc.? he definitely can have 55+ but i would have thought he could have some other hands in his range, right?

If you think going by the villain's history that he does bluff missed draws often then yes i don't mind bluff catching in this specific instance. Just don't go down the bluff catching lane too often. :)

So he limp/ called a 3-bet? Yeah, I think calling down is fine. What is he checking on that flop then betting 2 streets? Makes no sense.

I'd agree with calling down, smells like a missed draw trying to buy it on the river to me.

I think youre losing here.

I think this is not the right time to be a bluff catcher.

So what is villain limp, calling a 3-bet with, checking the flop, and then betting the river with? 66? :) Hero is getting over 3:1 on a call, and villain has been seen bluffing a missed draw b4.

Thanks for the advice, I agree now that calling was probably the right move. In case anyone was wondering what he had, he turned over 74o for bottom full house. Not sure if he was "value betting" or bluffing but I'm guessing he was just clicking buttons :)
