69s is actually my favourite hand but that's not why i played it, i played it cos it had folded around to me and i was raising into a complete nit. When i got called, i felt his range would be pretty strong. maybe AJ+, QK+, pocket pairs and some suited broadways. I c-bet flop since i had some backdoors and i felt i could get some A highs, low pocket pairs and broadways that didn't connect well to fold. if called my plan was to maybe fire a second barrel as a semibluff on the K or A of clubs to put pressure on all pairs below a Q, but otherwise to give up.
I understand the Q was one of the worst cards to barrel on since it makes it harder for me to have one with two queens on the board, but i noticed the villain called really quickly on the flop which made me think he had a marginal hand like A high so i felt i might be able to bluff him off it if i bet again, but unfortunately he called once more and so on the river i thought there was no way my pair would be good - he couldn't have called two streets with A high right?
But no my read was spot on he had exactly what i thought he had. So my questions are:
Should i allow timing tells
to have a big impact on my decisions?
In future if i put my (nit) villain on A high by the turn, should i fire again or do i have to assume that villains will call too often with A high on boards like that?
If above is true, should i go for a triple barrel? or should i not even c bet at all?
