Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with J
, J
1 fold, Hero bets $0.15, 6 folds, BB raises to $0.40, Hero raises to $1.20, BB calls $0.80
4-bet pre so it's an easy fold to 5-bet. Hopefully it'll fold out his Ax hands he thinks he can bluff with or broadways.
Flop: ($2.42) 2
, 8
, 5
(2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.15, BB calls $1.15
Flop the overpair but AA/KK/QQ is still in my mind Should have gone for it here I think as AQ/AK is still very possible. Thought a set was unlikely to call pre with 22,88 or 55.
Turn: ($4.72) Q
(2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.20, BB raises to $5.25 (All-In), Hero folds
I'm now repping a very strong hand. I seriously considered checking back for pot control. Keep the pot small for the river, however I hoped he'd think I had AA/KK as I 4 bet pre and have bet two streets thus far.
Total pot: $9.12 | Rake: $0.44
I need help on the pre flop. Was 4-betting ok? Was folding to possible 5-bet good thinking? Was I likely ahead on the flop? (IMO I am) and the c/r on the turn... what is his likely holding when doing this? and do I have to call for that price?
Cheers
