$5 NL HE Full Ring: Folding Aces and getting the most out of them (Two hands)

MP2 ($2.30)
Hero (MP3) ($4.05)
CO ($10.63)
Button ($18.45)
SB ($3.60)
BB ($4.77)
UTG ($1.75)
UTG+1 ($5.83)
MP1 ($5.17)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A

UTG calls $0.05, UTG+1 calls $0.05, 2 folds, Hero bets $0.25, 4 folds, UTG calls $0.20, 1 fold

Ok I still insist in always raising the same but now its always 5bb and not 4! I feel this suits the vast majority of situations whilst making me pretty much unreadable.

Flop: ($0.62) 2

, Q
diamond.gif
, K

(2 players)
UTG bets $0.30, Hero raises to $0.90, UTG raises to $1.50 (All-In), Hero folds

He leads in and I figure he could have KQ or a set though more likely with the 22. I considered calling here but figured the C-bet would give me more info and be safer with the straight draws out there.

He shoves but I do have odds. Good fold?

Total pot: $2.42 | Rake: $0.11

Results below:
UTG didn't show
Outcome: UTG won $2.31

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Hero (MP1) ($4.93)
MP2 ($3.86)

Button ($9.54)
SB ($3.64)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A

1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.05, Hero bets $0.25, 5 folds, UTG+1 calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.57) 3

(2 players)
UTG+1 bets $0.25, Hero raises to $0.75, UTG+1 calls $0.50

Turn: ($2.07) Q
diamond.gif
(2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $1.15, UTG+1 calls $1.15

Everthing so far is pretty standard...

River: ($4.37) 9
spade.gif
(2 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks

Perhaps I should have put in a value bet here? I am sure he would have made me aware of QJ T8 or KT by now! Guess I was just scared of the check-raise and me having to fold.

Should I have tried to get more value?

Total pot: $4.37 | Rake: $0.21

Results below:
UTG+1 had 10

, J

(one pair, Jacks).
Hero had A

(one pair, Aces).
Outcome: Hero won $4.16

Don't show the results of the hand.

1) Don't fold aces to a short stack, and raise more preflop & on the flop.

2) V-bet the river, raise the flop more.

Exactly what c9 said.

I know this tells you nothing new but think of it as reinforcement!

Hand one, ignoring all other strategy, you've got 60c to call with $3.02 in the middle. You need to be right 20% of the time for that to be profitable - considering he could easily have AK/KJ/JT/QJ/KT I think that's always a call for me.

how much are you raising pre in H1? I thought .25 is fairly standard with 2 limpers

Sure, 5bb's is standard, but they'll call more. So raise more. We've got aces, its 5NL. Lets make the SPR as small as possible and punish the crap out of these guys. If they're not going to notice that we're raising more with our big hands (which they're not) then by god, lets do it.
