$5 NL HE Full Ring: Bet sizes

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 22/13/3.5

Ok this hand goes all the way to the river, I would like to get some opinions on all streets though.
200 hands on villain but I havent really seen him play too many big hands, other than standard getting it in with sets etc...

First up preflop. I generally raise mid pockets preflop just to get a bit more action postflop if someone hits as they usually will have a fairly decent hand. I will sometimes limp in the blinds but this time I decided to raise.

Now we flop our set on the flop but we are out of position. How much does this affect your bet sizing?

I just pot it here. no ones gonna fold to .70 on this board if he is gonna call .40 or w/e since its the type of board people dont float alot on.
If villain doesnt have Ax,Qx,cc or maybe the occasional JT/KJ were not geting anything out of him so lets just focus on geting max value from Ax and stuff and we do that by betting the pot here.

Yeah, pot or close to it. He'll have lots of made hands as well as draws in his range.

On the flop should we be varying our raise size when out of position?

So I went with the other approach which is to bet 2/3 of the pot to try and pull him along with his Ax or Qx. So on the turn I have a pot size of $1.50, Since he has come along this far do you think a pot sized bet would be ok here aswell? The turn was basically a blank unless he has Ax spades so since he called the flop he should be calling the turn right?

Ya, brick turn changes nothing. Villain will probably fold Qx on the turn unless he's a station, but you're really only targeting his TP type hands that'll almost certainly get stacks in by river.

The benefit of a bigger flop bet is bigger turn bet, which commits more money before a possible flush card kills action vs his Ax hands.

It still looks like a PSB will make for a good shove on any brick river.
