$5 NL HE Full Ring: BB trapped

Read on Villian was fairly tight-aggressive. Outside of my donk bet/call post-flop being absolutely horrible, what would you do here?

^^^ He doesn't know how to read an HH obv.

Well, you already know the donk bet was a bad idea.

Ok, fairly tight - aggressive? Hmm, he's in the hijack and limps behind the open limp from UTG. The pot is $.25, you lead out for $.15 which kinda screams I have top pair. You get three bet to .45 pot is now .85. It's .30 to call, you are getting 2.8 to 1 on the call which isn't terrible. However, you have to wonder what did he limp with. A TAG player will limp with small pp's from there and suited connectors. So he is either being aggressive and bluffing here, or he has two pair or a set.

now you've got top pair weak kicker, and a gut shot, you check and he bets pot. you are only getting two to one on the call, I think you have to give it up here.

Now, on the flop you have TP with a weak kicker. I would check here, see what happens with the players from late position, you have a weak hand here, you don't want to make a huge pot. If someone bets out, you could do one of two things, check raise and try to take it down there, or take the route to get to the show down as cheap as possible.

I count four clean outs, with another very dubious potential five outs, a severe reverse implied odds situation and we're out of position.

This is a really easy fold and it's not even remotely close.

If you had some kind of implied odds to live off of, calling might be good. But how much money do you expect to win on average from, say, KQ, when the river shows four-to-a-straight? Do you expect him to stack off?

And if the river is another queen, do you think you're getting paid off by worse? You'll stack off every time that he has a better queen (or a boat) but you'll win considerably less when you have the best hand. Same argument, of course, applies when you river two pair. Here again the river will be four-to-a-straight, he'll be unwilling to pay you with KQ and you don't stand much to win.

I snapfold this.

That's what I was going to say. Reverse implied are not your friend. Against a really aggro opponent I may check/call this hand. If you're going to bet (which I don't mind so much), there's no other play than bet/fold.

Im ok with your lead out here but i'd fold to the raise. Btw isn't a donk bet when someone raises preflop and instead of checking to them on the flop you bet first?
