Stacks:
UTG - UTG ($5.09)
UTG+1 - UTG+1 ($2.33)
MP - MP ($5.19)
MP2 - Hero ($5.48)
CO - CO ($7.63)
BTN - BTN ($1.92)
SB - SB ($7.58)
BB - BB ($5.20)

Preflop: ($0.07, 8 players) Hero is MP2 with Ac Kc
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.15, CO calls $0.15, BTN calls $0.15, SB calls $0.13, 1 fold

Flop: Kd 9c Qs ($0.65, 4 players - CO: $7.48, BTN: $1.77, SB: $7.43, Hero: $5.33)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.45, CO calls $0.45, 2 folds

Turn: 6d ($1.55, 2 players - CO: $7.03, Hero: $4.88)
Hero bets $1.05, CO calls $1.05

River: 7d ($3.65, 2 players - CO: $5.98, Hero: $3.83)
Hero bets $1.90, CO raises to $3.80, 1 fold

i know i should have raised more pre with two fish still to act (BTN and SB), that would have helped to narrow down the field a bit. the only stats i had on the CO
was he'd folded the first 6 hands. when he raises on the river i know I'm beat. but I'm wondering if i could have lost less in the hand.

in a multiway pot since there are more players there is more chance that someone flops something strong. does this mean you should in general play top pair hands much slower and not go for three streets of value (like you would in a heads up pot)? I'm wondering if my bet was a bit ambitious by the river and maybe i should have just x/f by that point?

let me know what you guys think, i would appreciate any advice since multiway pots aren't my strength :)

I probably would have lead on the flop as you did even though its tough with 3 people still to act. The 2 calls would definitely raised a red flag in my head and I would not have definitely not bet the river. I would have checked the turn for pot control and see your villain acts after that.

I would have played this hand exactly as you have here.

Good flop bet.

Good turn bet, if we want to take a more cautious line we can check this river and evaluate based on what villain does but I think we might be losing value from a lot of one pair hands that will call 3 streets.

The river sucks because we are OOP but there is definitely enough second best hands that a random villain will call with here, I've seen random villains call 3 streets with third pair in a spot like this before. Bad players at this level love to think that we are bluffing and will call us super wide. I bet for value here too.

When villain raises we are always beat, bad players don't bluff raise rivers.

Good fold.

I think you played this hand a bit loose. Not only are you facing 3 villains but the flop is very connected so i would just give up on the flop or slow down if my c-bet got called on the flop.

Any one of the three players can have a pair of kings beat on that board. No way am i going to keep barreling.
