Now that you finally edge in front of him, you neglect to value-bet. Bet the river as well, imo.

Preflop is fine.

Flop is fine.

Turn, meh, just check it back. He's not likely to fold anything he called flop with. I get it, you improved, but that is a pretty wet board. I don't think we have any FE. We are putting more money into the pot, and we don't expect V to fold.

Slight edit: if we choose to double barrel turn (I don't think it's a good idea though), bet bigger. You were 2/3 OTF, then 1/2 pot OTT. If you're gonna do it, at least maximize fold equity, but I still think checking back is way the best move on this turn.

So what is the plan for the river, if we bet turn? Are we triple barreling if we brick out? Are we checking back, and giving up?

See if we check back turn, and we actually improve on the river, we can easily call when villain bets (which many villains just can't resist betting the river with air, when you check back), or even raise if we river the NF. And we also save a few BBs if we miss everything, and V bets, and V has it.

I get why you checked the river. It is sort of a dirty card. I probably bet 20-25 BBs (V should have around 68?), and fold if he shoves (and hate myself for betting). There are still hands we beat, that will call the river. K-Q, Q-9, Jx, Qh-Xh. We need someone who is good with EV calculations to chime in on this river bet/check. I am not sure about this river....
