Well if I should have played it differently on the flop.

Preflop:

I'd raise to at least .10c.

3bb's + 1bb for each limp.

Flop:

bet .20c.

If you didn't have any backdoor draws I'd be tempted to not bother c-betting if either were aggro, but you've got backdoor straights and flushes which would allow you to barrel again so played fine IMO.

Raise bigger perflop (at least .10 maybe .12 since we're OOP).

I think failing to get the rest of UTGs short stack (38 cents remaining) in on the river is a HUGE mistake. Yes sometimes he'll have the flush and sometimes 2pair but he's also calling with any ace and most jacks.

Yeah, why check the river? If he shoves, you're gonna be calling anyway, aren't you?

Raise more pre-flop, should be 4BB+1BB per limper at 2nl, you can also add a BB as we're OOP.

Flop bet is fine it takes it down a good percentage of the time plus we like lots of turn cards.

I'd bet a little more on the turn, we just hit gin, but that's really nit-picky.

Shove river.

All right, thanks for all the inputs from everybody, especially on the betting sizes. I'll start looking for spots where I've already invested a major part of my stack on the river, where the opponent hasn't got much left anyway.

For those interested, he turned up with 8♣ 9♣

i would raise more pre because at 2nl the fish doesn't see it as a raise, sees it as cent, so i would bet 12-14 cent. i would not c bet the flop because most people playing at that level will call you down with any pair, any draw, so you are only really hoping the have a worse hand which is unlikely because you have 2 more players in the pot, even if they missed they might still call you. well played on turn, keep it up, not too badly played overall.
