AJs and AQs are the two hands I misplay the most often. I think I am playing these hands a lot stronger than they really are.

Hero ??

I have no stats on the villian at all. I am pretty sure this is an easy check/fold situation but I was also wondering about the flop bet. Does anyone fire at this pot again?

If you are having a lot of trouble playing AJ from EP why not take it out of your opening range until you feel you improve enough to start playing it oop more?

How would I get better at playng AJs if I am not playing AJs?

My whole reason for playing 10s of thousands of hands at micro stakes is to get these leaks fixed and move up.

AJs is quite often a fold for me from EP. I'll play it only when there is an obvious fish at the table who I expect to call with worse and even then often only if the bad player is in the blinds.

I wasn't saying don't play it at all, just not from early position. Especially in full ring where peoples ranges are tighter.

Just ask yourself how many worse hands will you call with if it was someone else raising UTG? Will you call with AT or less? I know I wouldn't. Therefore we should just be folding it the majority of the time.

good point! I guess unless I have some info on the table that tells me otherwise this should be a pretty easy fold.

I open AJs UTG at 6-max 100% of the time but that's 6-max.

Well yeah I mean I open it 100% from MP but those couple of spots at the FR table matter.
