Hero shoves ?

Villain is crazy playing 82/59 and one thing i've noted about him is that he HATES folding! like he called off a flop raise all in with just K high. so here he could definitely stack off with any gutshot 8 or 7 regardless of the odds, like K8, A7 etc, or flush draws e.g. 45 of spades. he also doesn't fold to 3bets either.

the problem is that since the board is quite coordinated there are a lot of hands that hit that board and i'm behind to any pair. i'm actually a slight dog vs any 2 cards by the turn.

however since i've committed a big portion of my stack and villain's range is wide, do you think i might as well shove the rest in? after all, i only need 26% and even if i'm behind right now, my overs and gutshot are probably all clean outs and i might even have the best hand.

let me know your thoughts. Shove, check/call or check/fold? And could I consider an even bigger raise pre vs this guy?

I like the pre flop and flop bets.

Making villain fold his no pair hands which have 6 outs against us isn't exactly bad as there is enough money in the pot right now that we should be happy to take. If they call us with a no pair hand then we have the best hand anyway.

So we only need 26% equity to make a shove profitable. I think that villains range is so wide here that shoving will prove to be profitable. When they call us we aren't going to be a huge dog a lot of the time, and when they fold we shouldn't be too upset to collect on the big pot.

Thanks. I agree by that stage I was pretty committed and villain called with 54s for the flush draw, so i got my "value". a mate suggested that i should check/shove the flop vs such an aggressive player who is bound to bet when checked to, so i could get more money in on the flop when i'm more likely ahead, and get more value from his total airballs that he might fold to a bet. is this another option you'd consider?

Yeah we could definitely consider check raising them on the flop.

The only issue is that we don't want to let our opponent have a free card when the board is wet, as a whole bunch of turn cards will cause us to shut down OOP and give up a pot we could have taken down with a C-bet on the flop.

But in this specific case the board isn't terribly wet and all the flush turn cards give us a draw to the second nuts. Also we know that this villain is crazy and will bet all of their draws meaning that the flop is rarely being checked through, making this spot a good one for a check shove IMO.
