No, you should fold. That flop hit this kind of players range way too well, and he isn't folding if he's almost potting into you. He likely has 6x,7x, and he won't fold. You only put 10% in so far, so I'd like it go and keep 3-betting him small when you have a reasonable hand and he opens.

In hindsight i think my shove was pretty dumb. At the time i was like "this guy's a maniac, he could have anything. AK might be ahead!" He snap called my shove and flipped over 57o. i don't normally make these plays but i was getting fed up with maniacs since they always seem to win the pot through sheer aggression.

As for the three-betting strategy, do you mean i should decrease my 3bets to about 8bb vs this guy with a strong hand like AK?

You cant bluff a maniac.

They would even see middle pair a semi-nut hand.

fold.

wait for a good hand.

play dead and let him hand you his wallet.

I'm curious about this guy though. the most often hand I find somebody 3betting against me with is AK. maybe he thought this and saw the flop missed your range (save for overpairs and 10 10), so he considered himself safe. *shrug* depends if the maniac had a brain or not.

Agree with a fold here. A maniac might even call with any pair or even a draw. Not a good spot to outplay villain here. Just fold because we missed.:)
