Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has A:spade: J:diamond:

fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, MP+1 calls 3 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold

Flop: (7.4 BB, 2 players) 6:diamond: 2:spade: J:heart:
Hero bets 4 BB, MP+1 raises to 12 BB, Hero calls 8 BB

Turn: (31.4 BB, 2 players) J:spade:
Hero checks, MP+1 bets 16.6 BB, Hero calls 16.6 BB

River: (64.6 BB, 2 players) 7:heart:
Hero checks, MP+1 checks

Am I right to shut down here? IP I'm betting when he checks.. If I didn't hit trips I would've folded the turn. I was worried he had a set, but he was quite aggro post so there was definitely more in his range than pockets.

too loose open from this pos, so, u hit a hu pot oop, vil raises, if he thinks smthng, it never be a set on that board, from value range it might be only KJ/QQ, other is a bluff, so u decide to call & hit your 5 outs on the turn, x-call is a good idea, but river u have a value donkbet ai, he never fold QQ here, u shudn't afraid set's here, 1 set that cud be is overruned 77, that he smtimes decide to bluff a flop, but he'll also call much worse hands.

I think you played the hand fine. Hard to find a fold on flop when the only hands really beating you is 66/22 and this villain seems like a semi aggro tag with his 3bet %. Never folding turn at this point and I don't think donking river makes any sense.

AJo is too loose from MP? I've been playing AJ+ 5's+ from MP.

AJo is fine from MP. MP here is equivalent to UTG 6-handed, and I open AJo there. I don't open it at Bovada Zone 100NL though unless I'm deep because people play back a lot with 3-bets pre and flop floats post. Cash games I open it by default since players are a little weaker, and aren't as aggro pre/post.
