Let's step back for a second and put him on a range first. To call pf, pp's (22-JJ), sc's, unsuited connectors, and random crap all come to mind. To minraise the flop, a flopped straight, sets, two pair, pp's, 9x, 8x, and various gutshots come to mind. We're behind a straight, sets, and two pair, and ahead of everything else. At 5nl, I would think 9x, 8x, various pairs that didn't hit a set, and gutshots make up a big part of his range - I think we're ahead way more often than we're behind at this point.
OOP, I would bump it to $1.50 - $1.60 expecting alot of the hands we're ahead of to call and hands we're behind to shove. The catch is that a few hands we're ahead of (8x, 9x, 88, TT, and JJ in particular) may also shove, so unfortunately I don't think we're getting good info here if he does shove. If he flats or folds, I think we got the info we wanted and play the rest of the hand. If he shoves, I'm calling at 5nl against an unknown.
