Posting this hand with the results as I think it would better help the analysis.

This hand happened near the start of session and bugged me enough to walk away from the tables. I guess I'm not running so hot this week so a BI loss affected me more than I expected (too many draw outs on my made hands and etc).

7 handed, open raise from HJ followed by calls from CO & BTN. In SB with 77, seemed a good call with good implied odds so flatted, BB folds. Nice Ace high flop with spade draw. HJ with a 3/4 pot bet into 3 other players, I'm thinking he caught the ace or a decent pocket and want to thin the field. More happy to see the others call. Now I did not want to slow play here, the pot is good enough to take down on flop and any better hand should most likely be drawing. I raise it all in as I did not want to give another free card when there was so much action already. HJ, a thinking player, I guess smelled a set and folded so did the CO. BTN after thinking for some time called. Spoilers: he gets there on the river.

Now I convinced myself afterwards that I played this right and that I did want the drawing hands to put money in when they were behind. But I cant help thinking (after the fact) that I might have just raised on flop and shipped on a safe turn. But how would have that been? HJ raised 9.6, lets make it 10. And then 2 callers, so 3x + 1x for each caller, so somewhere around 55bb or something and would have an awkward SPR left. Comments?

Also I cant fault the BTN's flop call as he had monster outs though I did ask myself why he was in the hand to start with. But I know that I know that I know the answer to this :D

I wouldn't be shoving on the flop. I get that the pot size is around 40bb, but the other players have to call off about 80bb. Sure you'll get paid, but imo it's better to bet around pot and GII on the turn - may get another caller.

It is just a bad beat though. I'd be GII on that turn card anyway.
