6 handed, no history on any opponents
(SB) Hero Stack: $1.97
(UTG) Villain Stack: $4.76

Hero looks down at AQs.Villain from UTG raises to 20¢. Folds to hero in SB.
Hero 3-bet to $70.
UTG raises to $1.20
Hero is thinking about fold or shoving. But in real time hero calls.

FLOP - JdJcKs - $2.45 pot (2 players)

Hero tanks and shoves hoping to bluff off villain.

  • Preflop - would you call/shove/fold?
  • Flop - what would you have done and why?
  • In this spot, can hero really bluff-shove that kind of flop with this kind of hand?

Im not sure about preflop, but on the flop I would check to the villan. That flop connects REALLY well with a 4-Bet range pre (AK, KQ, KK, AA etc.) and I would say up to 90 % of the time he would be calling a shove. If he bets it's probably a fold (depending on size) and if he just checks then you can re-evaluate a bluff shove on the turn. Just my opinion (and I'm no cash game expert!!).

Looking back I would agree he would be calling the majority of the time , I guess I made a really bad desperate bluff attempt
