SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J:heart: J:club:

UTG raises to 3.4 BB, Hero raises to 11.8 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls 8.4 BB

Flop: (25 BB, 2 players) 8:heart: Q:heart: 5:club:
UTG bets 25 BB

Basically readless. Kinda fishy but didn't really know what to do here because of the sizing.

18 hands doesnt give a lot of info. So by default no need to 3 bet in that position. Just call.
As played easy fold for me on flop.

Didn't love the idea of calling and facing a squeeze where I'd have to play JJ OOP in a 3bet pot. 18 hands but he was playing like a fish from the hands I'd seen.

Let start by saying that I don’t have idea what he has, some aggression like folding 3bet and AF would be cool and I do the analysis from the NL2 perspective.

My first instinct is to fold.

If we are against FD only, he most likely have over cards too and we end up with 55% equity, but he as well can have made hands in his range too especially when he pots it. Then again some do this with AK.

If we give him wide call range: QQ-22,A8s+,KJs+,QJs,J9s+,T9s,AQo+,KQo

Then on the flop he donks over pairs, FD, any top pair and better, and for bluffs all AK our equity is 33% and we should fold.

I think there are reasons we should fold: 1. we will get his money later 2. at the best our equity edge is not that great and losing big pot to fish will hurt our feelings and might make us play bad later on 3. he can’t have that many pure 2nd pair hands.

I would fold, 3 betting is fine. I would just watch him closely and see if he repeats the same play.

3-bet is fine, snap call for me on the flop. Someone like this is literally calling a 3-bet w/ any 2 and betting like that w/ any 2. 8x, 5x, flush draw, straight draw, gutters, air, Qx, and on and on. With more reads I might min-raise call on the flop even.

Sorry but on a side note, how do you copy history like that from Poker Tracker :p . I tried doing the same thing and have hide results checked but it always shows the last action. In this case for e.g. it will show that the hero folded. And if I manually cut that part out the whole hand history gets corrupted so instead on showing line in bold it shows "[`b] ....[/b`]"

Don't mind if you don't like me questioning you here.

That's fine! I wish I could be more help, but I just delete the bit I want to hide... When I do this, I don't check the 'hide results' part.

That was my issue, I wasn't sure about the fold because of the guys stats and did think he could basically have any two cards. Felt like I needed more of a read to make this decision though.
