$5 NL HE 6-max: Whats the deal with a pair and a flush draw?
I read somewhere that you should never hesitate to put all your money in with a pair and a flush draw. But is that on the flop or the turn?
Here's what happened here
CO: $2.83 (56.6 bb)
BTN: $5 (100 bb)
SB: $6.70 (134 bb)
Hero (BB): $5 (100 bb)
UTG: $7.38 (147.6 bb)
MP: $6.72 (134.4 bb)
Pre-Flop: Hero is BB with 9
9
2 folds, CO raises to $0.20, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.62, CO calls $0.42
Why did I re-raise here? I figured a pair of nines is likely to be the best hand and I realise I should have re-raised 4 times the bet since I would be OOP. Folding can also be an option here IMO.
Flop: ($1.26) 7
5
A
(2 players)
Hero bets $1.26, CO calls $1.26
Here I figured to make a c-bet to win me the pot. I planned on shutting down if called cuz if I represented the ace and he still called.... I dont think I should automatially be scared of the ace.
Turn: ($3.78) 8
(2 players)
Hero bets $3.12 and is all-in, CO calls $0.95 and is all-in
But here comes my flush card and now I have outs to the flush and a set, but looking back its likely he could have a heart also. Reason wh I shoved? fold equity plus 11 outs to likely the best hand. And the guy was down to his last 90 cents.
River: ($5.68) 8
(2 players, 2 are all-in)
Results: $5.68 pot ($0.37 rake)
Final Board: 7

Here's hand # 2 where looking back I think I should have shoved on top of him.
SB: $4.74 (94.8 bb)
BB: $1.90 (38 bb)
UTG: $4.72 (94.4 bb)
Hero (MP): $5.22 (104.4 bb)
CO: $7.01 (140.2 bb)
BTN: $6.23 (124.6 bb)
Pre-Flop: Hero is MP with 6
6
UTG folds, Hero calls $0.05, CO raises to $0.20, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.15
Excuse my questionnable limp-calling OOP here with a small pair but its done.
Flop: ($0.47) 7
Q
A
(2 players)
Hero bets $0.47, CO raises to $1.50, Hero folds
This was a little bit of a ''Scare fold'' I admit but should I have re-popped him?
Results: $1.41 pot ($0.09 rake)
Final Board: 7
Q
A
CO mucked and won $1.32 ($0.65 net)
Thanks again
Well thanks
