$5 NL HE 6-max: What would you have done here?

Would you have called the shove?? How likely is a set or AA here? Is it a small enough amount of times to make it profitable to call this all-in?

CO: $5.29 (105.8 bb)
BTN: $4.86 (97.2 bb)
Hero (SB): $4.95 (99 bb)
BB: $1 (20 bb)
UTG: $5.37 (107.4 bb)
MP: $5.58 (111.6 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is SB with K

UTG folds, MP raises to $0.15, CO folds, BTN calls $0.15, Hero raises to $0.65, BB folds, MP calls $0.50, BTN folds

Flop: ($1.50) 7

Hero bets $0.80, MP raises to $1.80, Hero calls $1

Not sure I want to blindly shove over him here. I just got the feel the way he bet, called he wasnt weak here. Yeah hes a micro staker and I dont think he woulda reraised pf with connectors that hit this straighty board. A pair of nines, pair of sevens? It was the second hand at the table and I had zero feel for him or the table yet.

Turn: ($5.10) 3

Hero checks, MP bets $3.13 and is all-in

Thanks boys

Snap call.

Are you familiar with the concept of SPR (Stack to Pot Ratio)? Basically it's the ratio of the smaller remaining stack to the pot. Here it's like 2.9. You should basically never fold an overpair of KK or AA postflop with an SPR under 5.

Folding big overpairs in 3bet pots is not something you should basically ever consider 100bbs deep. Get it in and don't fret over results if you happen to lose.

yea, i would get it in, i dont think i would ever not get KK all in, i mean the way he played it pre flop i dont think he hit a set, but yea, i mean if u got some crazy read on him then sure u can fold, but i know im never dumping KK.

Don't wait for the turn, shove over his flop raise. There's no point in waiting for the turn, there is no turn card that's going to improve things for us except a K, and several possible scare cards on the turn.

Yeah, I recall beeing in a few similar situations like this before but I'm still reticent to snap call, even though math says I should.

I guess you guys are saying that we will be behind only a little bit of the time enough for us to make this a profitable call?

Thanks
