Looking back, perhaps I should have re-raised him on the turn?

This is micro stakes so maybe he wasnt letting his queen go so easily...

Thanks

First off, any reads on villain? You're both fairly deep so I'm assuming you've been playing together for at least a little while...

For the particular hand, having position on that flop, I think I like it if you checked back the flop given that there's an overcard although betting for value from straight draws, flush draws and Tx type hands is a reasonable argument. In that case, a bigger cbet would have made more sense.

On the turn, when villain check/raises on a complete blank, Im going to say his range is weighted more towards slowplayed monsters. If he's capable of semibluff c/r's then I'd expect it on the flop when he still has some decent equity with 2 cards to come. I think he's gonna have like 22, TT, QT most of the time and possibly 55 or the odd flush draw (maybe Ad2d). I think you have to give up the hand after the check/raise.

Well he could be raising you with strong draws or a slowplayed made hand, but dont raise the turn here that is the worst possible thing you can do. Your hand is now a bluffcatcher. If you decide he is bluffing I would suggest calling and letting worse hands bet out. Re raising is going to get you into alot of trouble folding out any bluffs and often forcing you to get it in behind or slightly ahead. I would probably fold to his turn c/r, but if you call the turn raise I think a river call is a must with that card.

He's gunna have a set two pair a queen or maybe once in a blue moon a strong draw.
In the micros there is really no need to bluff catch like this. We make our money from getting a good hand and betting it, spots like this are never going to be where we make our money. Fold the turn.

yep. I'm definitely leaning toward something like QT, pocket 2s, maybe 10s or 5s, or maybe even AQ. But yeah, you should read the baluga theorem as sly mentioned
