I had only 9 hands on the villian and he stated up at 67/0....

I just played it normally I guess and value bet my turn and river card expecting a "call" from some horrid top pair or something weird.

He then proceeds to just min bet raise me on the river?

So, an easy one..

1: Call with massive nice odds
2: Shove?..

Callling is ok I guess as he "could" hold some weird two pair and just hit a FH, although it looks quite a weak bet for that? Thoughts?

If I shove, what can I expect to get called by? Is there any value for shoving, are we only ever being called by a FH or is it possible to get called light with trips, weird two pairs who thinks I'm full of crap?

I don't expect him to be very good because of his stack size + his passive limping stats.

Weird spot..I'd love some input here!

I Raise preflop.
Bet more on the flop.
Call the river for splits and giggles.

We're calling 40c to win $1.85/2 = 92c
We need to split around 30% of the time I think....
Sounds good enough to me.

Oh wait you were thinking of shoving?!
Hell no!
Even fish aren't going to minraise trips here often even if they did FHs and better straight far outnumber them.

KJ/Q9/89/T9/88/99/TT = 35 combos
there's a lot that beats us.

Considered raising pre but because two short stacks and out of position wasn't too keen.

I not sure why I bet so small on the flop, should of bet more indeed.

I wasn't thinking of shoving (I didnt shove) However, I was wondering if there is any value and if we're ever being called by worse to shove here..obviously not though :p

Just wondered what the best line of play is, obviously just calling seems right though. His weird min bet had me thinking is this a crappy weird value bet? Seemed to weak that's all and fish usually just hit there cards and shove all happy but min bet here was weird.

Thanks for replies!

Raising pre is ok, but them being short is surely more of a reason? This hand players better with a smaller SPR.
Anyway checking pre is fine I think if you want to play that way.

Flop bet a lot bigger, you have a premium hand here IMO.
Turn bet about 3/4 pot.
River just bet/call at least for a note of what he min-raises.

+1
That and being OOP is less of a disadvantage the shallower we are.
We are IP vs the SB.
MP is a fish and did not raise, even OOP QJ is a lot stronger than his range.

I don't like raising OOP with a hand that's easier dominiated if someone limp/calls and if I hit I have to stack of and pay him off.

Raise preflop. Bigger on flop (~.12) and just call the river raise.

KQ/AQ/KJ/AJ are probably raising preflop.

Your much more likely to see QT/Q9/JT/J9 or get folds. Not to mention come up against hands like 56s. and other fishy crap.

What limping range do you think has you dominated?
