Bad luck Variance bad call what? Aggressive loose fishy whatever you want to call him he took my money. Anything I can do here or is this always a money grabber? I don't think I'm Tight enough to fold here.

You should have folded the turn. Also check flop, or bet/check/bet. When he checks, he most likely either has a monster or JJ-QQ/weak Kx that is not paying off 3 barrels but is willing to look you up if you bet/check/bet or check/bet/bet. Prefer bet/check/bet on this board texture though.

TPTK is almost never good for more than 100bb, and even for 100bb, this still might be a fold. This is actually a really strong line as the PFR, and in general. Check/call, check-raise is a very strong line, especially as the 3-bettor. Pretty unconventional line, but he pretty much always has AA/KK/an 8 here. Very unlikely Villain is spazzing with a lone king here, especially 200bb+ deep.

Being tight is not really related to whether or not you should make this fold. Just fold when you think you are beat. We have strong hand strength, TPTK, but we have weak relative hand strength when Villain looks like he wants to GII here.

I'm trying to make sense of this hand. It looks as if you thought he was bluffing for some reason and was wrong, but you reraise jammed on the turn after getting raised. That was a definite mistake as everything beating you gets it in and very little of anything you can beat calls the 3bet. Speaking of 3bets he did that preflop so the relevant stat(s) would be nice, although I feel like the sample on the player is pretty small.

Note also there's practically no air at all in his range when he check/calls on the flop after 3betting. Pocket pairs smaller than kings perhaps, but they don't check/raise on the turn unimproved.

How about a 4 bet pre? You opened on the button and got 3 bet from the blinds, 4 betting AK here is more then standard.

Also don't know why you seem to be fist pump getting it in on the turn? Also agree with minh about taking a bet/check/bet line because of villains range here, WA or WB.

4 bet pre but if you are scared with over 200BB then fine just call.

In my opinion turn bet is fine but when he 2 bets its over just fold. When someone 3 bets you from the blinds after opening from the button especially a lose player then they can have a very wide range of hands so 8x hands were very much a possibility here.

If you had 4 bet and got called then it would have been variance and bad play from your opponent to have you stacked off. But this way you just allowed him to stack you off at his own terms.

Yes, you overvalued your pair. Remember that if you raise the blinds and do it often, someone may play back at you (like he did with A8o, they also make that play with 87,98)

My guess is that you were probably raising the blinds a lot before then. Or villain had his blind stolen in this manner several times and assumed that's what you were doing.

He played back at you preflop. Slowplayed his trips as they often do. On turn street, he gave you a chance to double barrel. Then reraised all in since: 1: you seemed committed 2: there are straight draws and flush draws out there.
