Okay so I know the usual fold pre applies here more then ever but I had a spazzy moment

PokerStars - $0.05 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 132.2 BB
SB: 119.8 BB
Hero (BB): 137.4 BB
UTG: 124.6 BB
MP: 216.8 BB
CO: 124.6 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J 9

fold, fold, CO raises to 4 BB, BTN calls 4 BB, fold, Hero calls 3 BB

Flop: (12.4 BB, 3 players) 4 Q Q
Hero checks, CO checks, BTN checks

Turn: (12.4 BB, 3 players) T
Hero bets 5 BB, CO calls 5 BB, BTN calls 5 BB

River: (27.4 BB, 3 players) K
Hero bets 16 BB, CO raises to 115.6 BB and is all-in, fold, Hero ?

So I called pre for what reason I have no idea maybe to flop a miracle(which i didn't lol)

flop gets checked all the way around.

Turn I pick up some outs and decide to fire a bet to see if I could get any folds... terrible idea as both call lol.

Just wondering if betting river here is bad? Should i be check-calling here instead? Also am I calling the shove?

Thanks all .

Bet turn bigger. Bet river bigger. Fold to the shove.

CR turn or bet larger. Bet river larger and fold to the shove. He has to shove AQ, a busted flush draw (which isn't in his range very much) or Q8-Q2 a lot for this to be a call.

there is no reason to play this hand like that, if you want to play it so be agressive 3bet preflop so u can represent big hand and cbet on the flop

Fold pre IMO.
As played fold. There are a lot of decent combos that beat your hand.

ur never good here. i would like a bigger bet on the river so that his river shove can have more credit. as played easy fold. i like turn bet but again much bigger close to 75% of pot. and then check/call river if the price is right.

Why is a thin valuebet not good on the river?
IMO is probabely the only correct thing he did all the hand. Villan will go over the top with the nuts, eather you value thin or big. If he has a marginal hand he might call the thin valuebet.

because there is a possibilty that villain is shoving here with QA so if u pot it on the river, i think he might just call instead of shove. He might be actually bluffing here by shoving and think he is value betting. ( depends obviously on his skill level)

You get my drift? thats just how i see it. might be fowl thinking.

Betting this river is an absolute necessity, if your not betting in spots like this your missing tons of value. Its a clear fold unfortunately.

Check/call otr would be pretty bad.

Snap fold to the shove like everyone said.
