he could call with sth like A9/88/77 but yeah I guess c/f makes sense

He doesn't have A9 here and 88/77 is outweighed by his AA/KK/QQ that plays the exact same way. You are also guaranteed calls by the overpairs but not necessarily the underpairs.

As others have said a C/F is best.
