the bet on turn is quite small but I should be getting value from hands like A9, which might not call a 1/2pot bet, although that might necessarily be true. std yeah?

Yeah, it's fine. If he was more aggressive you could check the turn to pick off some river bluffs, but against this guy VB the turn is fine.

Is hereally 3 betting A9 though, his 3 bet is 13% of hands which A9 doesn't really fall into, but then again the c bet is standard, think youi played it well

I do not understand the size of your turn bet and why you did not bet the river if you think he had a hand like A9. The structure of the board combined with the range of hands you assigned him did not changed much even if the flush draw completed. With a flush draw like QJs, AJs he would had bet the turn IMO.
Of course your hand has showdown value. But if you think he will call the turn with A9 why not think he will call with A9 on the river.

Sure it does. You don't know what type of hands he will 3 bet. Polarized or depolarized.
