Flop bet could be a bit bigger so we can shove the turn. Someone that calls every hand pre will look at the flop and either be calling or not, it almost doesn't matter how big we make it. River is gross but I think I would pay him off as well.

You only need to be good 20% of the time for this call to be +EV, yes.

Having said that, I don't think we can call this. He probably has 87, given his turn min-donk.

But I agree that we should bet more on the flop and get it in on the turn.

Mmm, he's a donk and 7x and spades are definitely in his range. It shouldn't be, but it is. I think you can find a fold there on the river.

And this isn't an auto 3-bet pre, he only raises 9% of hands, tight numbers.

I don't mind 3 betting but flatting isn't bad either and kind of food for thought. Against a lagtard 3 betting is fine but this villain has solid stats so I'm assuming a solid player.

Debatable against SB since he has only opened >9% of hands so he has to be pretty tight when cold 4 betting.

Sometimes I'm not 100% sure if I understand the thought processes. Maybe 5NL just plays differently than 200NL though

I think you gotta pot that flop against this passive fish. And Jam the turn. Having said that once you get to this river- i think your're getting 5.4 to 1 on the call- this crazy guy probably is capable of doing this with a Aof spadesx or K of spadesx so its probably around even EV.
