$5 NLHE 6-max: $ : $ : Trips over trips, overpair vs overpairs?
Swedish currency but i converted it to dollars, therefore 5NL!
Hey guys, i would highly appreciate any input on those two hands, i think i did the right decisions mostly based on stats, the first hand is only based on the fact that the guy is a total nit-stats.
Pretty new to the table, only had 10hands on those guys but the nitty guy stats keept being on the extremly nitty side even after 50hands.
JJ vs ?
This guys stats are 10/5 1.0
I raise with JJ he INSTA raise and i call, he is a total nit so i basically setmine here with a low stack, pretty bad, would i already fold preflop here? in best case he has AK or JJ.
More likely AA, KK or QQ based on his nitty stats. So why not just fold preflop? Now afterwards do i think that a fold is the best move here.
So the flops comes and it is a perfect flop to me generally, and i would go all in against a standard player here but not against a 10/5 nit. And he insta cbet so i just fold my overpair.
Why would a passive nit suddenly cbet with AK here? No he has KK.
A7s VS A10o
Now my hand is suited and it will be hard to put me on a flush if i hit it.
The flop comes 2AA and this guys seems to be a maniac, he had 40/30 after 15hands. Worthless sample but way better than guessing.
I really dont like it because i have this feeling that he has a higher kicker, my kicker kinda suck, but i just have to get it in there against a seemingly maniac.. 40/30 not really a maniac 5handed but i had seen him in many pots before this pot.
He would get it in there with A3, A4, A5, A6 and based on his stats after 15 hands i also thinks that he will get it in with any pair, he didn't raise before the flop so not AA, KK, QQ, so it comes down to any pair, but is he really so crazy that he get's it in with 88-10? And why wouldnt he raised those hands preflop? It's not like he is a maniac only postflop.
I would get it in on the flop, don't like the call, more fold equity if i get it in on the flop, not because he ever fold A10 here but.. I had 4 clear outs (7) and i could have a backdorr flushdraw. And i won't change my mind whatever card comes on the turn and river so really more fold equity if i push it on the flop. Either i fold this (it would saved me money lol) or i keep pushing it in there with people like him.
I don't know, when i played it i had this feeling but my logic told me to get it in, i am not so sure anymore, but i really can't fold trips against a 40/30 guy.. I would do it again. It would be great if you tells
me that it is a clear fold, because that will save me money in the future.
My first thoughts directly after the hand and in the hand was that this is a clear cooler, but i am not so sure anymore, when i am sitting here and analysing it. It is maybe just wishful thinking by me.
I would get it in on the flop, don't like the call, more fold equity if i get it in on the flop, not because he ever fold A10 here but..
