Cooler spot. think you have to play it out as you do because KQ, QJ w/ some combo draws are a solid part of his range, plus you have redraws. But against that tight an opponent we are probably looking at 88/99/J10 a disproportionately high # of times.

I could find a fold on the flop against someone this nitty. He is a nit for full ring and this is 6max! Guy probably has 88 or 99 all day here.

Agreed but the problem with this analysis is two fold. One, we only have 65 hands. It's a decent indicator but nothing close to a full sample. Two, we have no idea if his preflop play is indicative of post - very good chance he could be the type to stack off the second he spikes (say w/ QJ) b/c he is so nitty pre he is eager to get it in post.

There is too much that beats you to even think of raising on the end.
I try to follow my teachers advice.....
DON'T GO BROKE WITH ONE PAIR. (especially in a cash game)
DON'T BUILD BIG POTS WITH SMALL HANDS.

I didn't raise the river. But surely turn is shove or fold? If I flat the turn bet, I'm all but guaranteeing a call on the river.

Looking at the hand again, should flop be 3B/fold? Turn is clearly fold/shove IMO, I'm never flatting there with the stacks the way they are.

I agree mo stats = mo better... but 65 hands and someone is 14/12 at 6-max, the guy is a major nit. There's no way I've ever played 65 hands and had stats close to this and I'm about 29/22 at 6-max.

Any ways... yeah, small CR against someone like this, and I may fold the flop. This kind of opponent isn't CRing Qx, like QK/QJ often enough. A % of the time you might be looking at a badly played AQ. I think overall, learning not to pay these kinds of players off is a valuable lesson. Ranges get so narrow against nits like this that you really have to see monsters a lot in spots like this. It would be funny if he showed up with AA/KK though.
