I've been playing on this table for an hour, the other guy was there all the time. didn't really clash untill this hand ( both quite agressive post flop)

I opted to slowplay these KK because the other guy is agressive pf. I normally don't do it but as opponent goes hard with TPTK I tried to trap him.

Lead out on the river and pray he doesn't raise. If he does fold. I don't like this slow play. I think you put yourself in a tough spot that could have been avoided. I think you should 3-bet preflop. Even though it is cute to just call here I think it is too cute, because you are closing the action while OOP.

Just not needed at 5nl.

You need to build big pots with premiums. Slow playing you risk letting multiple fish see flops with speculative holdings, and since they dont like to let go of pairs or give up on draws, you're just not protecting your KK enough.

Why are you donking half pot on the turn? I thought you were trapping and letting the aggro villain hang himself. I HATE the call too, surely here is a perfect spot to shove? He seems pretty trapped by now? You're just begging for people to crack your kings slow playing to this EXTREME.

I donked the turn because I thought a Q would hit his range and he would shove KQ, AQ on my donk, if he got draws he can't check behind. this was my motivation at the time of playing :) and yes I normally do play my premiums much more agressive, I play most hands agressive but as the other opponent was agressive too but doesn't call too wide I decided to let him hang himself, my donk was just trying to give him more rope :)

not 3betting this preflop is a huge mistake. the donk bet on the turn makes very little sense... what are you representing? what is your range to do that? i think you have to shove the river in case he was bluff raising you on the turn because the donk looks kinda wonky... then again i haven't played in a while and i don't know how these games are playing these days...

3bet preflop - Never check that flop, build the pot and stop letting junk see cards without paying for it!

The way you played it admittedly being creative means i assume you know you could have played it differently by 3betting pre flop. So i am simply going to answer your question you asked in the end which was ...
do we lead out? or do we check? what do we do if opponent shoves for remaining stack?
let me know :)

Since you lead out the turn and got raised then checking the river is a good idea because we have all the one pair hands of villain beat. So if villain was bluff raising the turn then we are giving him an opportunity to bluff again and if villain thinks he has the best hand then good chance he is betting the river too.

If there is one option that i do not advice choosing on the river is check folding. We should be calling here no matter what considering the pot size and effective stack sizes.

So we should not be worried about villain's shove here because this is why you chose to play this hand tricky in the first place ... to be in this situation inducing a shove as a bluff or by a weaker hand. If you lead out for value then if villain was bluffing he folds or the same if he has a marginal hand.

Sure we could be beat by AA, any two pair or better hands but then that's the risk you take when yo decide to play it tricky. :)

Not 3betting preflop is a MASSIVE leak. As it is, your hand is underrepresented. Your opponent could be betting worse for value, so check/call. One pair can't really stand a raise here.

The problem with your turn play is that your flop check invited him to bluff at the pot, then your turn lead takes away his chance to bluff.

I agree on check-call river, he possibly have 3of a kind or catched Q on river.
