SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has Q:spade: Q:heart:

Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, CO calls 3 BB, fold, fold, fold

Flop: (7.4 BB, 2 players) 3:heart: Q:club: Q:diamond:
Hero checks, CO bets 3.6 BB, Hero calls 3.6 BB

Turn: (14.6 BB, 2 players) K:diamond:
Hero checks, CO bets 7.2 BB, Hero calls 7.2 BB

River: (29 BB, 2 players) 9:heart:
Hero bets 7.4 BB, CO raises to 51.2 BB, Hero raises to 223 BB, CO calls 143.8 BB

I dont know if this is FPS or what, but my logic behind checking the flop is that villain is probably folding to any bet most of the time on that flop. So I think I could get more value out of under repping and allowing villain to atleast make a hand or try to bluff at me.

Is there any merit to that flop play?

I think I like the hand. CO is a maniac, so ck-call, ck-call, and blocker-bet/3-bet jam river seems pretty good. He might give up on the river with his air, but if you blocker-bet, he might feel obligated to bluff-raise you.

Yea slowlplaying when you flop quads is probably one of those times I guess. ****ing lucky on the river though - that's a rarity haha.

I was kinda thinking he'd call just for the wtf factor?
I really have no idea what he had, but I guess he made something

I don't know if it counts as a blocker bet, but that's kinda what I was thinking with my sizing on the river

It's a blocker bet at face value. The point in you doing it here though is that it looks weak, so you may get more action by feigning weakness. Although I think you possibly sized it so small in order to get paid?

Ok, I thought a blocker bet was more specifically to buy correct odds for improving... Being on the river there's no odds to improve?

Anyways, yeah I guess I risk appearing strong by looking too weak. But not sure what better I could have done to get value. It helped that villain is a bad fish

This is the one time you can slow play. I probably still cbet the flop for half pot, just because you'll get calls really wide, but after that, I'm checking somewhere to give him some rope.

Check/calling the flop as the preflop raiser just looks really suspicious.

Nice hand well played, I agree you can lead for half pot and get called wide then check the turn, the aggro will then make his move.
Against more passive players you have to let them catch up even if it means checking flop and turn.
