Why CR the flop? As played, unless the guy just likes to gamble, it looks like you're behind on the turn. In the future I'd probably just lead the flop since that kind of flop MW can go c/c a lot. Keep things simple and don't overly complicate them.

This is just spewy... Bet/fold the flop and see where the turn takes you. I'd be inclined to fold pre even at this raise size given UTG is short and T8 is likely to cost us money later. We're starting out behind, and the shorty won't have much money left when we catch up.

I guess I just couldn't believe a short stack as much as a deep stack. Hence why I decided to call.

Agree prolly a bit spewy

Villain has in excess of 65 bb mate, that's not considered a short stack usually by most people. I consider it best to fold such hands pre flop as they are just trouble.

I don't mind the preflop call here multi handed and with UTG having a fishy stack size. Its a min raise and we are getting 6-1. I don't think the hand is strong enough in terms of draws to justify a check raise.....we only have a back door flush to go with our tpair. Wouldn't mind it if we only needed one more spade. I would check call the flop hoping to improve and see what he does on the turn. I don't play these hands to win with pairs though Im looking for straights and flushes and don't push the paired hands especially against utg .

I agree, does anyone short stack deliberately at this level anymore? I see a few at 25nl with 30-50 bb who play a strict short stack game but not any lower, i can't recall seeing any shortstackers at 10nl recently. 65bb isn't a good stack to play short with. The guy was likely a fish and I want to be in hands with fish where I have cards that flop well and can make well disguised straights. Id play T8 here with 6-1 all day.
