3 bet GII on flop. Flatting flop is so dangerous

What is the question? Looks pretty standard to me.

I guess we could R/R OTF or OTT, but I don't mind the way this one went. Nothing wrong with just calling down here. He can have a bigger set, a straight, or just a draw. If we just ram it in on the flop or turn, we give V a chance to fold inferior hands/continue with hands that beat us.

It does seem like V has 2p or a better set. I wouldn't fold. I would do the same thing you did.

Yeah I guess so. I don't mind calling either though. What's so dangerous? I don't really think this dude has a draw here, maybe, but his stats are pretty tight. What if we jam flop, and he folds? If we flat IP, this dude is gonna just keep betting, and I don't mind that.

Lol life just sucks when you have bottom set and get raised by a nit on this board. You're going to be behind middle/top set and 109s so often. I doubt he defends stuff like 76s/87s, so I actually don't like shipping it in on the flop. Our range is mostly overpairs and sets on this board, so I don't think he's CRing flush draws unless it's exactly A9hh (OESFD). I think calling down IP is fine. Expect to lose a lot. I wouldn't fault a fold though OTF though. I probably wouldn't fold even though it might be the right play specifically against him, just because "lol I have a set." His range here is just so strong, and he has a really low AF for a nit. Nits are supposed to have high AF because they only get involved with premium/strong holdings pre.

Either this, or 3-bet/shove the flop, or raise-shove the blank turn.
All options are viable, imo.

His AF is on the low side for someone as tight as he is. Calling is probably the best approach then.
His river bet should have you worried. I wouldn't even oppose a river fold vs this guy.
