This is kind of a bad spot. I would have to think my set was no good here. I think it is likely that we are up against a straight or a bigger set. I know that it can be really hard to throw away a set, but i think this is one of those times where we need to lay down. Since the villain was getting pretty good pot odds preflop, 9T, 77, 88, JJ, and 67 are all in the villain's range. It's possible he has something like 2 pair or AJ, but with all of the possible straights on the board, I would expect those hands to check/call for pot control. Also, the villain's bet sizing seems like he wants some action. The small ckeck/raise on the turn and then leading out on the river with a bet of less than half the pot just screams value. He doesn't want to check and lose value by allowing you to check behind. Overall, I just can't see the villain playing this way with many hands that we beat. Toss em' in the muck
Good Luck.

I'm sigh-folding to the turn raise. Not much we're beating here. Check-call, check-raise are typically very strong lines. If he had a J and wanted to bet out for value from draws, he would have donked the flop OOP. When he check-calls and check-raises the turn, it's more likely he hit his draw. Something like 109s. Most sets would check-raise the flop, but it's possible he wanted to see a safe card before committing his stack. Possible but unlikely. We're going to see a made straight here a lot. If you're calling the turn, it's with the intention of boating or quad mining and folding to any further aggression. Not getting great odds here, so I'd just muck 'em.

Definitely a dangerous board.

I believe the crucial decision here is on the turn and not river.

I may likewise call turn but surely fold river.

I believe him.

Villain shows 87 for two pair but I still think I am behind here most of the times.

I think odds alone dictate a call on the turn. Especially with the stack sizes behind if you do hit one of your 10 outs, you probably get the rest of his stack.

Even if he turned his hand face up and showed you the nuts you have 20% equity and need 22% for a call which we don't have. Implied odds more then make up for that 2% though.

Before I saw the result I was of the firm opinion that you were up against a straight more often than not. Two pair on the flop is unlikely and it's rainbow so what is calling the flop and check raising the turn? T9 is the obvious hand to raise with and fits the play perfectly. The 7 doesn't really help 67 enough to raise unless he's particularly aggressive. Your implied odds are too good to fold this turn for the price offered. When the 4 drops any hand with a 6 gets there as well so I'd fold on the river.

Given the level of NL5, set is too strong to fold most of the cases.
