Am I supposed to be raising this river and if so how much? spolier i shoved and i think it was a mistake as i think im only getting called by bigger flushes and boats maybe occasionally a straight and probably hardly ever just a 2.

You're supposed to raise the turn.
Don't slowplay your big hands. What would you have done if the river was another diamond?

Also, fold preflop. This is standard OTB, but in the hijack, this is WAY too loose.

flatting the turn is somewhat reasonable. yes, another diamond could come, but villain could also be bluffing, in which case calling is dramatically superior. our opponent might not even have a diamond.
