I've been having alot of trouble with hands in the blinds lately. I feel as if no matter what I do except for folding unless I have top 10 hands that I cannot be profitable.

What is your take on this hand?

Full Tilt - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (BB): $7.84
UTG: $5.63
CO: $5.75
BTN: $4.66
SB: $4.99

SB posts SB $0.02, Hero posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has 7:heart: 7:club:

fold, fold, fold, SB raises to $0.15, Hero calls $0.10

Flop: ($0.30, 2 players) 9:heart: A:spade: J:heart:
SB bets $0.20, Hero calls $0.20

I will post more as I get some responses.

SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($0.70, 2 players) 7
SB bets $0.40, Hero raises to $1.90, SB raises to $3.74, Hero calls $1.84

SB shows A J (Full House, Aces full of Jacks) (PreFlop 46%, Flop 87%, Turn 100%)
Hero shows 7 7 (Full House, Sevens full of Aces) (PreFlop 54%, Flop 13%, Turn 0%)
SB wins $7.64

There's the rest of it, it's definitely not a brag. Some have said to fold it when you dont flop a set, but what happens when u turn your set or river your set? In this case it got me in massive trouble by rivering my set.

Because when you dont hit your set and their is overpairs to the board AND your opponent is betting into you.....you just have to usually assume your beat.

The money that you pay the villain to see the turn and river is insane to try and hit a miracle 2 outer???

Thats why no set no bet DUCY?

We are getting horrible odds with any bet really. If we don't flop a set our chance of making one by the river is around 8% or 4% chance of turning one. We do have implied odds but nowhere near enough to make it profitable.

If villain bets 1 bb into a 25bb pot then call for sure but those are exceptional circumstances...
