Hi, I'm going to post a couple of hands where I think I played aces badly, what would you have done differently? In the first maybe my flop bet wasn't big enough?? The second I think is a bit unlucky, but I should have 3-bet preflop and I should have folded to his reraise. In the third hand I think I over-bet on the flop and I am doing it to avoid what happens in the first hand...but then I am probably losing value. I find aces quite hard to play, if you raise too much preflop as the initial raiser everyone folds and if you don't then you always run the risk of being outdrawn and losing a lot! Aces are not my most profitable hand, TT and 22 are more profitable for me! Thanks for any advice :D

wtf man whats up with all the limp-raising and cold calling preflop. Play straightforward and raise big; people love to call.

Hand 1) Raise 4x pre or more if the table is calling big raises pre with junk (like the dude with 89os. Call the turn jam.. he looks like a fish and will be doing this with a lot worse than a pair of aces.

Hand 2) Again, re-raise. Aces on the BTN is perfect because noone believes your 3bet as your range (should be) really wide here. Anyway 3bet to build the pot. It will also fould out crap like 94o that you will pay off 100% of the time if they hit. As for the flop get it in, he's probably got TPTK, an overpair or something wacky like 98 or (unlikely) A3.

Hand3) Nice pot sized reraise. Overbetting pot looks super strong after raising pre. Just make it your standard c-bet like $1 or $0.97 to mix things up. If they didn't hit there isn't much you can do.

As said above, you should never limp or cold call in with Aces, that was the start of the downfall.
The third hand I suck at bet sizing when someone raises pf and there is a caller, I would be interested in some input on the amount to raise, I usually default to pot sized, lol.
I think your bet on the flop is fine.

I agree limping in hand 2 was wrong and I should have 3-betted to chase out the stupid hands like 94s.
In hand 1 maybe I should have just shoved postflop? It is hard to know what to do in situations like that, I guess I was just unlucky that he flopped a middle pair and flush draw.

In hand 1 you definitely should have raised PF, 3x bb + 1.
Once you limped in and had all of the extras in the pot, I agree a shove would be necessary, but at those stakes some will never fold their flush draw.

Oh yeah, I just saw that I did limp initially in hand 1.
I prob did that because I was getting sick of everyone folding when I raised my AA/KK/QQ hands, and look where it got me lol.

Hand 1: Classic Baluga Theorem. In a 3bet pot, it's hard to get away from the turn shove though as played. Maybe bet less on turn (like $1.80) and fold to raise unless you have a good read on villain that puts you ahead of his range. EDIT: already covered, but don't limp pre!

Hand 2: This is one of the reasons why it's bad to flat aces pre, especially against a raise coming from button where raising range can be very wide. As played, it's probably fine to get it in on the flop as unknown villain at 5nl probably gets it in with TT+ here.

Hand 3: Good preflop raise, no need to overbet flop as it's about as dry as can be. Just standard 3/4 to potsize would be good, and hope that one of your opponents either hits the board or has noticed you c-betting a lot and calls you light.
