Villian is unknown, had only played 13 vs this player. Could I have played this any better? Do we call the river shove as he short stacked?

Turn seems like a clear fold to me. I think we need to take some kind of action other than calling on the flop

I would def raise flop or as played fold the turn. No need over-committing on a hand we're unsure about and can be easily beaten by random AT/KT/JT, etc type hands.

I think raising is cool but it might be thin, idk.

Dirty board. I don't think much worse calls a turn raise but what do you really beat but a bluff that bets the turn?

I'm down with this. Its close between a BA/WB flop and a regular wet board. But I think its dry enough that we can raise this spot profitably.

Trick is, are we raise/folding or raise/shipping it? Seems like a raise/fold to me, which seems a bit gross. But I can't think of any other line I like.

Turn's a fold as played.

are you lot super aggro or what?

we're IP, flat and see the turn and evaluate from there..

turns a clear fold though, don't know what you expected villain to do expect barrel a 3rd time.

Raising the flop seems ridiculous, what's the point? So he can get it in with AKdd and overpairs?

I agree we should fold the turn but frankly, once we call the turn I feel like calling the river. It's kind of hard to buy his story here.

edit: Shoving turn is going to be better than calling turn, J is way better for our range than his.

Fold turn, there's a shitload of straights about and the flush draws may bluff the river so we're essentially committing our stack by calling.

Raising the flop is too thin, JT/AQ/QQ+/89/Q9/88/99 all crush us.
I've added every possible flush draw and all pair+GS (even TT/JJ) to this range. Feel free to add more hands to it if you wish.

Best Case Scenario

Board: Qd 9h 8d

Hand 0: 41.982% { KcQc }
Hand 1: 58.018% { 88+, AdKd, AdJd, AdTd, Ad9d, Ad8d, Ad7d, Ad6d, Ad5d, Ad4d, Ad3d, Ad2d, KdQd, KdJd, KdTd, Kd9d, QJs, Q9s, J9s+, T9s, 98s, Q9o+, J9o+, T9o, 98o }
