I definitely would've 4bet KK with the intention of stacking off. Yes, you would've lost a lot in this particular scenario, but more often than not, you'll be ahead when the villain shows AK or sometimes QQ.

Yeh but I figured 4betting is a mistake.

If I 4bet I've folded out hands like TT-QQ and ppl with AA will shove me and ofc it'll be that annoying race we all hate to love.

PPL often will make the mistake if the boards low.... and do errors with their overpairs thinking their good. I know this because I use to do this error all the time :)

Not getting it in preflop was the mistake. BvB he's going to be willing to get it in with many worse hands. It's much harder for him to make mistakes postflop with position.

His check back on the river is terrible and he should be getting in another value bet there.

That. Or at least raise the flop. You have a monster blind vs blind, ship the monies in.

I would suggest... Not if you are going to be OOP. Save this move for when you are in position and the villian is very aggressive and will barrel.
Against a decent aggressive villian with a 6%+ 3bet % you want to minimise your positional disadvantage and look to 4bet raise. If he flats your 4 bet the money can still go in on the flop if its suitable.
He obviously won't have AA very often but a good aggressive player in position doesnt need AA to put you in a lot of difficult spots on the river on a lot of runouts.

Villain's PF sizing was suspect but honestly that just makes him look like a bad reg. Easy stackoff pre. I don't like X/R'ing the flop. We overrep our hand and can fold out worse. Just ship pre and no worries about postflop play.

I can definitely see where you're coming from. I know from personal experience I've stacked off hands like JJ on a low board and lost to a better overpair. It can be a good strategy to try to keep TT-QQ hands in the pot when you have KK.

Although in this particular spot, with the villain's small 3bet sizing (only 7bb), I feel like you can easily make a small 4bet to something like 16bb that will get called by hands like TT-QQ.

I don't think so. Being a Blind v. Blind battle neither of you can assume super tight ranges. I think if you shove you get called by many hands you beat, such as most pairs, AK, AQ, suited broadways etc. Of course a lot depends on your image and your opponents tendencies but for the most part I like a shove here. I know that in this case you're crushed but c'est la vie!
