Hi, poker friends! Here you'll see that I call a All in 3 bet in flop vs a narrow range villain.

My analysis was he has J9 in pocket because he has a narrow range and a QT (for a straight in F) was too high for his range.

Also he has a very high VPIP, 3 bet, and AGG stats. So a 3 bet all in is not rare in his game style.

Besides, he can be semibluffing and also I had 2 streets to complete a full house.

So, I'll share the hand with you and I'm looking forward to your replies! Thanks in advance!

Hi there OmarRD7, I believe you are overcalling from the SB. Hands such as K9o is trash from the SB and we should be folding this almost 100% of times at the micros.
If you decide to enter a pot from the SB enter by 3betting and use hands with better playability postflop such as K9s, KTs.
If you calling K9o from SB versus BTN and CO you are calling way too much from the SB and in the long run you are going to lose a lot:

77-22, A2s+, K9s+, Q9s+, J9s+, T8s+, 97s+, 87s, 76s, A9o+, K9o+, QTo+, JTo (22%)

From the SB our strategy will be very simple: we will play 20% of times from the SB, and those times we will enter the pot by 3betting not calling. We also can 3bet steal from SB x BTN or CO and we can wide our 3bet range a little but even so, you gotta have information of Villain.
We call from the SB when we have a decent hand and we have very decent odds. In this case I don't believe the odds were so great for calling down with K9o, mostly dominated by KT and KJ, for instance. I hope it helps you.

The samples of hands that you have of the villains as a reference, have very little representation. However we can consider the preliminary trend, to take a standard game line.
K-9 off is a very fair range to play out of position.
Especially if we think that we face 2 villains, who have a high frequency of aggressiveness, for the small amount of hands they have played.
From this perspective, we can consider the fold as a profitable alternative of exploitation, against 2 ranges that probably have polarizing characteristics (especially in the development of post flop game). When calling in preflop, we are inducing a speculative value (we block the high speculative structure: A-K; K-Q; K-K) and many times we will isolate ourselves with a range of values, which can attack from preflop, or they can defend their holdings a lot during later development.
In this case we reach the flop in a 3-way boat, and we have formed 2 pairs. It is a good situation for us, because now we overcome many combinations. We block K-K and 9-9 and now it is less likely to include K-J in the range v1 and v2. However, we have 16 Q-T combos that we don't block and that have a positive equity against us. The polarizing characteristics of the rival ranks indicate that we must be deeper in our 4bet line. If we make a small size as in this case (1.85 times the 3-bet of BB) we are giving a proportion of effective pile-boat, adequate, so that villain converts a valuable hand, into a profitable 5bet, which in this case also block the flush line, and most of the time, it indicates a lot of strength of value.
Then this chosen size of 4-bet generates little fold equity on the part of the villains. A villain 5bet puts us in a complicated situation, for which we can think of a fold in the flop. Because we have invested 1/3 of our stack. And we didn't want to be deep in 4bet.
Greetings.

I think that this unfortunate situation could have been avoided by folding preflop. If you were suited, it would have been closer, but unsuited, I think that's a fold.

+1

Furthermore we aren't even closing the action and are facing a button raise which could be wide. If the BB is solid you will get squeezed and have to fold pre a fair amount anyway. Even when you don't get 3 bet you have spots like this with RIO vs sets and better 2 pair. In all of these cases we have the worst position to boot.
