PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

SB: 100 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, hands: 3)
BB: 102 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 3)
UTG: 110 BB (VPIP: 19.23, PFR: 12.82, 3Bet Preflop: 3.33, Hands: 79)
MP: 83.4 BB (VPIP: 66.67, PFR: 66.67, 3Bet Preflop: 100.00, Hands: 3)
Hero (CO): 101.4 BB
BTN: 148.2 BB (VPIP: 66.67, PFR: 66.67, 3Bet Preflop: 50.00, Hands: 3)

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has A:heart: Q:club:

fold, MP raises to 2.4 BB, Hero raises to 8 BB, fold, fold, fold, MP raises to 25 BB, Hero raises to 101.4 BB and is all-in, fold

Hero wins 51.4 BB

I felt like MP was way too aggressive preflop and that both his raise and his 4bet were very weak. Is this line ok? Or am I risking too much doing this play at this stake against that kind of player?

You really don't have enough information to know what kind of player he is.

Hide the results, but I don't hate it. It's pretty hard for a solid TAG to play 3 of 4 hands for a 3bet or 4bet.

i dont like it cuz micros ppl usually shove kk aa well the regs anyway... some recreational players will shove atc so its not bad but remember its going to be high variance.

but yeh 2nl 5nl is generally really tight and ppl rarely bluff shove unless they tilt or really bad fish.

so yeah control yourself or you will cost a lot of money

On microlimits I think that we can't push AQ, usually we get call from KK-AA sometimes AK

Thanks guys, luckly I was able to do the same play against that guy holding KK at the very next hand, he had TT and called me thinking I was bluffing.
But still, I believe it's a risky play at this stakes indeed.

High variance.

It's read and villain dependant. We don't do this against just anyone. We must also consider our image when making plays like this.

I don't recommend 5b shipping pre with A-Q very often, that's for sure. I mean, the dude did 4b us here. However, if you had the read, you had the read.

Hide the results in the future please.

At these stakes you don't really want to think too much.

Terrible sample size but if you think he's a bit of a fish from what you've seen past 3 hands then go ahead and widen your 4 bet range. Don't mind this too much.

Very strange ..MP raises kinda weak , 2.5 only(x) bb , then 4bet x3 our 3bet ...Risky play to go all in against it . Maybe if I had more information I would shove...

I dont really get it why you pushed all in preflop with AQo, and its really bad.. I dont really play cash, i play mostly mtts, but wow boy thats bad play(gamblish) first off all your 1st reraise shouldnt have been that big, should have been to max 6.5bbs ( would still push other players out of the hand ) and his reraise would be to 18bbs which would be pretty good pot to see the flop, your play is too risky anyway and you will lose your stack very fast

Just be careful because this can be dangerous thinking. You only have a couple of hands on him. It is very possible to get a good run of cards in that time. You don't want to get in the habit of over reacting (which I do see micro stake players doing a lot).

He put ~30% of his stack in so you can't expect him to fold very often, at least he shouldn't, so you can't really count on any extra FE. Looks like you got lucky though and got him off his hand. If he calls, usually at best you're ~ 40% vs his calling range.
