$5 NL HE 6-max: Did I make the right call here??

My though process in in italic

No stats on villain

SB: $13.55 (271 bb)
BB: $6.17 (123.4 bb)
Hero (MP2): $6.27 (125.4 bb)
CO: $5.21 (104.2 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is MP2 with K

A

Hero raises to $0.17, CO calls $0.17, SB raises to $0.73, BB folds, Hero calls $0.56, CO calls $0.56

Flop: ($2.24) A

SB bets $1.20, Hero calls $1.20, CO folds

Here all I could put him on was AA and I didnt think Iit likely that all the aces were out. And this is micro stakes, I dont necessarily give a 4-bet AA credit. I dont think he would have 4-bet preflop with a pair of 2's or 8's. He was, IMO likely on AK, AQ or more likely KK.

Turn: ($4.64) J

SB checks, Hero bets $1, SB calls $1

He called....he could be slow playing a set of jacks now...and I realise my 1$ bet smells weak.

River: ($6.64) 8

(2 players)
SB bets $3.45, Hero calls $3.34 and is all-in

He was likely on KK therefore FD very unlikely (he cant have two clubs in his hand, so now his turn bet cant be him hoping to catch a flush on the river)

His shove here.... hes not betting a flush im pretty certain of it. AA? Why wouldnt he think Im not on a flush? AK is likely AQ would be a pretty bad bluff....I was 90% sure the only option left was he had KK.

JJJ ... yeah its a possibility but it didnt smell right, so I called

Results: $13.32 pot ($0.88 rake)
Final Board: A

I like raising the flop. Villain can easily put you on a flush draw, and go spastic with his pocket pairs. Could have AQ/AJ. If he doesn't have the ace, he's probably giving up after you call the flop bet anyway, so you don't win anymore, but give him a free card to beat you.

After raising the flop, it's an easy jam on the turn.

If you feel confident that he doesn't have aa you should raise the flop Because of the flush draw. Then as mase said shove turn. BTW he didn't 4bet preflop it was just a 3bet

Ty gents for your responses.

Allthough these dont seem like difficult situations to deal with I am learning how to deal with them the right way and it is paying off at the tables!!

I just get AK in preflop up to say 150 bb deep against all but the nittiest of villains. As played, either raise the flop or make a much larger bet when he checks the turn. It's a 4bet pot, you have TPTK, why are we afraid to get stacks in?
