$5 NL HE 6-max: How do you judge this?
Hi guys, your thoughts on these hands?
Hand # 1
I'm in the Cut Off with 3.31$
UTG Folds, MP folds
I raise with A8o to 15 cents
Everyone folds except BB who calls.
Pot: 32 cents
Flop: 2d 8s 9h
I make a c-bet of 20 cents
BB bets out for 1$
I'm looking at 3rd pair against a potential queen high straight so I fold
With my flop bet he didnt have the pot odds
to draw to his 5:1 open ended straight...but i just felt my third pair wasnt good.
What do you guys think?
Hand # 2
I'm in middle position with KJo
I raise to 15 cents
So do SB and BB Both blinds were very very loose
Pot: 60 cents
Flop: 6h As 8s
SB and BB Check
I make a c-bet of 25 cents (weak bet I know) pot: 85 cents
Cutoff raises to 75 cents and I fold and so do the blinds.
He later told me he was on a draw. He didnt have the pot odds
to chase on the flop but who knows with these guys.
Do you automatically fear that ace on the flop? I mean I did my job with the flop bet i believe by pricing him out of his draw.... but that ace scared me.
What do you do in a situation like this?
edit: writing these hands down I realise I am not always thinking about my outs and odds during hands..it helps to put down hands and actively analyse them.
