What should I do in this situation on the river after what it seemed like simple cbets on flop and turn by the villain? What would you do seeing an overpot bet in the river?

Just call, what do you get called by when you go all in?, in my mind just kings and aces. Therefore there's no value in it. You just have to call and hope he is bluffing.

I really don't understand the bet on the river. Your hand is pretty face up. Its either kings full of aces or a complete bluff. After calling pre, on the flop and on the turn, Villain has to give you credit for a hand and will flood most of his trash. As played Villain checked to induce a bet from and ace and she got it.

If you had raised smaller Villain would have pushed and you'd have to call, so it's something of a cooler.

I agree with the other two, there's really point in shoving here since you're beat if the v has Kx, Ax, and 99+. Since the V was playing from UTG, he's most likely only playing the top of his range (I'm assuming he's average and generally understands position since there's no stats on him), for the sake of argument let's say his range is 10% of hands from UTG which I think is a good UTG hand range just to explain the hand. At 10% of hands he's most likely playing 88+, which basically would all beat you since you only have 8's for your full house, but he's also likely playing top Aces ATs/o+ and the strongest K hands (KTs+ and KJo) either of those ranges is terrible for you on this hands considering the three Kings and the river Ace. If we look at his position and his betting patterns so far putting him on the AT+ or KT+ range is probably correct which means that you are completely behind the entire time. By raising all-in with the ace, you are essentially giving the V (if we just look at his range and betting patterns here and pay no attention to what he did have) the choice to either split the pot, since he bet OOP on the Ace which most likely means he has an ace, or call you're bluff since ace is still in his range.

Basically this hand comes down to understanding different ranges of different positions, remember that the earlier the hand the tighter the range simply because you have less information to know where your hand stands compared to others. In a situation like this where you have a great hand but there's a big chance the nut hand is in the v's range just call, it ends up still winning you a decent hand if you do win but also saves you from busting out if they either don't fold or call your shove.

You have to know something about your opponent that you think he can hero call w/ worse pocket pairs. If you don't know that, then you should just be calling on the river.

I agree to the erlier answers and basically betting on the river should only be done when you are sure there is value in it i.e. you have the nuts.

Yep, as played only call the river.
Personally, I would have folded pre. You will often be dominated when calling weak off-suited Ax vs an UTG raise. Even if you hit your ace, you never quite know whether your tp is good. So just avoid ugly postflop spots like this by mucking pre.
