PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BB): 199.8 BB
UTG: 66.4 BB (VPIP: 92.31, PFR: 30.77, 3Bet Preflop: 5.88, hands: 94)
CO: 103.6 BB (VPIP: 18.52, PFR: 11.11, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 55)
BTN: 165.4 BB (VPIP: 28.85, PFR: 22.60, 3Bet Preflop: 2.33, Hands: 213)
SB: 104 BB (VPIP: 20.58, PFR: 16.00, 3Bet Preflop: 3.39, Hands: 286)

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 4 4

UTG calls 1 BB, fold, fold, SB raises to 5 BB, Hero calls 4 BB, UTG calls 4 BB

Flop: (15 BB, 3 players) Q 7 4
SB checks, Hero bets 10 BB, UTG raises to 61.4 BB and is all-in, SB raises to 99 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 89 BB

Turn: (274.4 BB, 3 players) 8

River: (274.4 BB, 3 players) K

Premise: UDG is crazy and is basically calling every hand. SB is more of a regular TAG.
Honestly, I kind of blanked and stopped thinking and insta called.:rolleyes:
One part of me was afraid SB could have QQ but my subconscious quickly decided to put him on AA-KK-AQ-KQ.

Should I have folded this?

Nope! UTG is obviously a very bad player. Think about what hands beat you. 77 and QQ(and does the SB really check those hands on the flop?) That's 6 combos total. Now think about all the hands that could be spazzing out right now that you crush. UTG Could be spazzing with Q7/Q4/74/65cc/almost any FD/anything else you still crush. UTG isn't going to have QQ/77 here because at 30% pfr I assume he's raising. And he probably limp re-raises QQ.
The SB could over shove 88+/AQ knowing UTG is a spaz and hoping to pick up those chips easy.

However you have bottom set. I hope you called and scooped the pot and didn't run into a pesky flush on the turn

Here's what I got from equilab:

UTG (pre): 44-22,K4s-K2s,Q6s-Q2s,J7s-J2s,T7s-T2s,97s-92s,82s+,72s+,62s+,52s+,42s+,32s,A4o-A2o,K8o-K2o,Q8o-Q2o,J8o-J2o,T8o-T2o,92o+,84o+,74o+,63o+,53o+,43o

SB (pre):66+,A7s+,A5s,K9s+,Q9s+,JTs,ATo+,KTo+,QJo

Flop : Qs7c4c

So then we check there ranges for hands they're happy to commit themselves on this board.

UTG: 65s,Jc7c,Tc7c,9c7c,8c7c,Jc6c,Tc6c,9c6c,8c6c,Jc5c,Tc5c,9c5c,8c5c,Kc3c,Jc3c,Tc3c,9c3c,8c3c,6c3c,5c3c,Kc2c,Jc2c,Tc2c,9c2c,8c2c,6c2c,5c2c,3c2c,Q7o,65o

SB: QQ+,77,AQs,KQs,AcKc,AcJc,KcJc,QcJc,AcTc,KcTc,QcTc,JcTc,Ac9c,Kc9c,Qc9c,Ac8c,Ac7c,Ac5c,AQo,KQo

Therefore with 44 you have 60% against these so it's a snap call.

Let's say the SB is much tighter than I've allowed on his all in calls

SB: QQ+,77,AcKc,AcQc,KcQc,AcJc,KcJc,QcJc,AcTc,KcTc,Ac9c,Ac8c,Ac7c,Ac5c

You still have 53%

Call all day, sometimes you run into sets and sometimes their flush gets there but you were correct to call.

You could probably fold pre-flop to the 5x raise from the small blind when you're not even closing the action (especially if you aren't comfortable getting all-in when you flop bottom set).

You're likely up against a draw and an over-pair which might be QQ but could easily still be AA or KK.

Getting 3 to 1 I don't think you can realistically fold even given the two shoves over your bet - this is why you need a healthy bankroll. :D

Good luck to you!

Thank you all for your comments and inputs. I am relieved to read that I did a good call.
Here comes the result:
SB shows Q Q (Three of a Kind, Queens)

Main Pot [199.2 BB]: (Pre 68%, Flop 67%, Turn 17%)
Side Pot#1 [75.2 BB]: (Pre 82%, Flop 95%, Turn 98%)

Hero shows 4 4 (Three of a Kind, Fours)

Main Pot [199.2 BB]: (Pre 15%, Flop 5%, Turn 2%)
Side Pot#1 [75.2 BB]: (Pre 18%, Flop 5%, Turn 2%)

UTG shows 5 6 (Straight, Eight High)

Main Pot [199.2 BB]: (Pre 17%, Flop 28%, Turn 81%)

UTG wins 191 BB
SB wins 72 BB

SB had indeed top set :eek: but of course crazy UTG wins the main pot with 5♦6♦ :elefant::elefant:
