Yes, because there's also some worse value hands in there that might bet - mostly Tx, but it's close. There won't be a ton of bluffs other than Ax type hands. Bet bet / fold on the river is > than check /call. You can bet like $1 and fold to a jam raise here because someone w/ this kind of aggression at these stakes isn't going to bluff often enough for any exploitable fold.

I think calling was good (the logic why is over my skill level)
However, turn bet would be better as he would call it with Tx -> so what John A says.

Please correct me if i'm wrong (also still learning) :)

My reasoning:
The reason why you should be it because you already have a made hand and want to get maximum value out of it/induce a fold.
You want to make it expensive to see the next card, as the other player is most probably waiting for a draw (as it turns out he already made it, but that's not the point, you didn't know that at the moment :))

I'd call the river there are many smaller pairs that might think they are ahead, but the real question is why you didn't bet the turn.

Villain has been passive and that should be making you think low pair or draw. In either case you are ahead and should make him pay to see the last card.

If and A, K or Q come on the river and he bets into what will you do? Best to try and get him to fold the draw and high card instead of trying to extract from a low pair.

Why no turn bet?

Opponent has low aggression, it's a super dry board. Worse hands will fold to often to a turn bet here w/ someone who is maybe passive. I wouldn't even bet this at higher stakes myself most of the time. I'd rather have floats and worse hands bet the turn for me. If it goes c/c I can bet the river large w/ bluffs and for thin value.

But aren't we risking losing a lot of equity if a Q, K or A falls? Or if the T pairs up? We have a great hand here, but it's vulnerable.
And a guy with his low aggression isn't going to bet the turn for us often enough, imo. But he will call with a T or 66-99, imo.
