This villian was 100/40 over a 40 hand sample automated notes on PT4 put him as playing turn draw aggressively 4 times. Is this a good spot to check him out.. or just a dumb call

The turn raise is terrible, you've turned your showdown hand (only against this villain 44 can make showdown) into a bluff.
We already know if this guy has paired he wont let it go.

I hate the turn. I actually think it's a fold on the turn but even calling is better that raising.

Yea i mean i never wouldve even considered this play had it been another villian but since he literally played EVERY hand and had shown his aggression towards flsuh draws on previous hands it just seemed like a spot he would but i can see why it was a pretty bad raise.. im only really beating complete air

Im assuming its much more +ev to just wait for a spot where i have a decent hand and get paid off by these kinda villians rather than risking trying to catch them

Just decent equity really. 2nd pair instead of bottom pair would be much better.

Yeah not too bad a play given his aggression, but it is pretty likely that he has either a 10, ace, or a 6 given the way the hand played out. When he called your re-raise on the turn I would typically only call a small bet on the river cuz there is so little that 44 can beat, even against an opponent with a really wide range.

This just seems like a really bad spot. Even if he is on a draw, he could easily have a pair with a FD. Maybe w/ pocket 9's, certainly with a T, but with 44 you have so little showdown value. You beat exactly a bluff. On the river you're providing almost a quarter of the total pot. Do you think he is bluffing more than 25% of the tIme? Hmmm.... that might actually be close. Calling looks marginal at best because he might be bluffing with a 5 or a 6.

And don't raise the turn ffs.

Yea i guess i got caught up in the fact that this guy played litereally every single hand for 40 hands.. didnt really play it too smart.. i got lucky this time that he was on the flush draw with Q7 but i realize now over time this is gunna be a losing play
